Overview
My name is Jody Medland and I am a trainee therapist who has entered my final year of study. I am on the verge of completing 100-hours of volunteer work, meaning I have run one hundred sessions for clients, and I am now offering my services to anyone that may benefit from reduced rate therapy whilst I’m still training.
What I Offer
I am an integrative therapist who stays person-centred, meaning I don’t go into sessions with my own agenda. Instead, I stay entirely focused on what you want to bring and then use my knowledge of different theories and methodologies to help you make sense with whatever you’re going through.
In short, if you’re feeling low and you’re not sure why, or you’re feeling stuck and finding it hard to motivate yourself in your personal or professional life, I can work with you to understand the cause and find a way forward.
Likewise, if you have lived through a key life event and know precisely what you’d like to address, we can focus on what has changed for you and help make sense of it. I am very comfortable around topics such as grief and loss, so don’t let anything be a barrier.
Rates
As a rule, I believe that progress can be made more quickly when working face-to-face. However, I’m aware that there are reasons this might not be possible for everyone. Therefore, until I graduate in July 2026, I can offer the following rates and methods of delivery:
PER 60-MINUTE SESSION
In-person (Barnstaple): £35 an hour
Online / Telephone: £25 an hour
Duration
For many people, a great deal of progress can be made within 10-12 sessions. You would not be required to commit to this many sessions, some people reach a natural end point in half that time, but it acts as a useful guideline. Alternatively, should we get towards the later sessions but feel there is more to explore, we can absolutely discuss extending the amount of sessions together.
